Our Commitment

Recall is designed with privacy at its core. Your notes and captured content belong to you—stored in your iCloud account, never on our servers.

Privacy Policy

Data Storage

Your data lives in your iCloud account. Recall stores all notes, captured content, and metadata directly in your personal iCloud Drive. This means:

  • • Your data syncs through Apple's iCloud infrastructure
  • • We have no access to your notes or content
  • • Your data is encrypted by Apple's iCloud encryption
  • • Deleting the app does not delete your iCloud data

Data Collection

We do not collect any personal information. Recall:

  • • Does not require account creation with us
  • • Does not collect email addresses
  • • Does not use analytics or tracking tools
  • • Does not share data with third parties
  • • Does not display advertisements

Web Content Metadata

When you save a URL, Recall extracts metadata (title, author, description, etc.) directly from the webpage. This extraction happens on your device—no data is sent to external servers for processing.

Third-Party Services

Recall integrates with Apple's iCloud service for data synchronization. Your use of iCloud is governed by Apple's terms and privacy policy. We do not integrate with any other third-party services.

Terms of Service

License

Recall grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, subject to Apple's App Store terms.

Your Content

You retain all rights to the content you capture and create in Recall. We do not claim any ownership over your notes, saved URLs, or other content.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use Recall in compliance with all applicable laws. You are solely responsible for the content you save and create.

Disclaimer

Recall is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. While we strive to ensure reliability, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service or that the app will meet all your requirements.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of Recall.

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Recall after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
